This 03 nights 04 days photographic experience will include locations that are off of the main tourist trail. This photography tour has been designed to move at a slow pace as life in rural India is, based on the rising and setting of the sun. It will be a real opportunity to further develop your sense of style and storytelling.

Detailed Itinerary

Thursday, 22nd July: New Delhi - Desuri Region
Early this morning we will meet at a central location in Delhi from where we will start our drive to Jojawar. A small village where will spend the next two days.

Jojowar is another untouched, little-visited town in Rajasthan. The countryside around Jojowar boasts rocky hills and scrub forests as well as the picturesque Aravalli Hills in the east. The sheep and goat herding Rabari people populate this area.

Later today will have free time to wander in this quaint, small town. The tea sellers, vegetable stalls and townspeople are friendly. Side streets are where the people live and we can photograph them going about their days.

Our heritage hotel has a large courtyard where we can relax with a fresh lime soda or a drink and download photographs. Dinner will be in the main dining room. We will offer photo critique sessions.

 

Friday and Saturday, 23rd and 24th July: In Desuri 

We will spend our time visiting villages in the early morning and in the afternoon. We will shoot them preparing the first cup of tea, milking their cows and goats and hauling water from the nearby well. Surrounding this quaint village we will photograph the friendly turbaned and women in their brightly coloured ethnic wear in their homes and villages.

We will also take the one-hour local train ride on a metre gauge line and mingle with the local commuters. From Phulad to the high hills of the Aravalis – the Kambli Ghat, the train ride is unique. Rawla Jojowar photo shoots will also include the men drinking opium.

Sunday, 25th July: Drive back to Delhi
After an early breakfast we will drive back to New Delhi.

 

INCLUSIONS:

Ø  Accommodation based on twin sharing rooms for 03 nights.

Ø  All meals starting from lunch on the 22nd July

Ø  We will be using an air-conditioned Tempo Traveller or two Innovas depending on the size of the group.

Ø  Train ride in Jojawar

Ø  All currently applicable taxes.
